'The Design & Development Process of P-O-P' Seminar

P-O-P & The Environment

A long-term initiative by POPAI with the goal of implementing best practice for all those involved in the industry, from the sourcing of environmentally friendly materials to the after-life of P-O-P. The work will result in the publication of a 'POPAI Guide to Environmental Best Practice', with standards laid out in the document feeding into a testing process to give producers and manufacturers of P-O-P accreditation for their environmentally friendly practices. Digital Screen Effectiveness

An initiative from POPAIdigital that will result in a series of publications covering the nature of digital signage, live applications in retail and the effectiveness and impact of digital signage in differernent retail environments. The second phase of the initiative, examining applications of digital signage in live retail environments, will use POPAIdigital's Global Digital Showcase, a new web feature that will platform digital signage solutions with streamed content from around the world. Student Design Awards & Scholarship

The 2008 Student Design Awards is set to be a well contested affair with collaboration secured from over 75 universities and colleges in the UK & Ireland. The awards, sponsored by Walkers Crisps, sees students submit a P-O-P design to a brief set by Walkers. Students will also compete for the POPAI Scholarship - the chance to win a job for a year with top P-O-P producer/designers bezier and Capital. More...


MARI

This groundbreaking global initiative, led by POPAI UK & Ireland, will provide the P-O-P industry with a framework whereby the same level of metric that is applied to above the line media can be applied to P-O-P. Specifically looking at opportunity-to-see, traffic flow and engagement measurements of P-O-P, this research initiative has already been rolled out at proof-of-concept level in ASDA and Morrisons with sponsors Unilever, Coca-Cola and Diageo already benefitting from the learnings. New! Professional Standards of Practice Manual

We have recently updated the Standards of Practice into what we hope is a more readable and easily understood format - look in particular at the section covering Intellectual Property rights.

Creating effective retail marketing campaigns requires collaboration and cooperation between companies. It is therefore paramount that there is a common understanding of industry practices and legal parameters to help build smooth business relationships and avoid misunderstandings. The importance of this publication cannot therefore be overstated: POPAI members have agreed to uphold and maintain the professional standards and practices incorporated in the manual.
