The site is currently undergoing a major enhancement programme to provide retailers, brands, media agencies and suppliers alike with all the information and resources needed to develop effective digital media solutions for the retail environment. The POPAI AGM and Meeting on 31st January 2008 at the SCI, London saw all of the working groups present a review of their achievements throughout 2007 and make clear their intentions for the P-O-P industry for the next 12 months and beyond.
Below is a summary of POPAIdigital’s planned activity for 2008 presented by Deputy Head of the Group, Nick Gale. Other working group highlights can be found on their dedicated pages on this website:
• Digital in Retail Forum
The forum, launched in December 2007, meets quarterly to answer questions such as, ‘What are the obstacles for adoption?’ and ‘What are the viable business models?’ Independent research on the use of digital media in retail will form the basis of final reports and feedback to POPAI members at Digital in Retail events as well as via the new POPAIdigital website and email updates.
• ‘POPAIdigital Guide to Digital Media in Retail’
This exciting new publication will offer an all-encompassing and fully up-to-date overview of the industry and offer insights into the way forward. Sure to be a valuable asset to anyone in the digital business, publication is anticipated in the Spring-Summer 2008.
• Digital Signage Expo 2008
This business to business trade show and conference is entirely focussed around digital signage. Topics include in-store TV, digital media, ad screens, content and content management and digital signage solutions.
The show is on 6th-8th May 2008 – Messe Essen, Essen, Germany
