Sustainability For Retailers & Brands

The POPAI Sustainability Standard (PSS) was developed in direct response to calls from retailers and brands for a standardised industry measurement of P-O-P environmental performance.

Whilst environmental and sustainability issues concerning products and the physical infrastructure of retail stores have been included within retailer and brand CSR policies for some time, there has until now been no legislation and little guidance relating to P-O-P display in-store.

The Benefits of PSS

For the first time ever, the POPAI Sustainability Standard provides a dedicated measure of environmental performance for in-store display and the opportunity to move to a position of best practice.

By working closely with supply partners and actively promoting the use of the  and  tools that feature in PSS: Stage One, retailers and brands will now be able to measure and compare the environmental performance and sustainability of P-O-P solutions, providing assurance that it is in control of the environmental legacy of its P-O-P activities.

Once supply partners move to Stage Two and full PSS accreditation, it will provide assurance of conformity to working practices that meet the industry standard for sustainable best practice.
