Retailers & Brands

Are you a UK/ Irish retailer or brand owner?

POPAI's Retail & Brand Forum is the only collective community dedicated to identifying, raising awareness of and tackling the big issues that impact on the effectiveness of P-O-P in the UK & Ireland.

If you work for a brand or retailer in the UK or Ireland and have anything to say on the state of our industry, please do get in touch and come along to our next meeting.

The ethos of the Retail & Brand Forum is to provide an action group for retailers and brand owners to prioritise and resolve shared issues that prevent in-store success by:

• Identifying and challenging key obstacles to achieving brand/retail excellence in outlet.

• Delivering (relevant) local and global P-O-P best practice to the forum and mobilise it to tackle prioritised issues.

• Evaluating and communicating the commercial benefits of P-O-P activity to retailers and brands and to influence effective collaboration, development and implementation.

Our Current Agenda - Five Hot Topics for the Forum

The RBF currently has five hot topics for discussion:

1. Hot topic one is the Marketing at Retail Initiative (MARI). Currently available to the forum are the latest results from Asda and Morrisons fieldwork which investigates media metrics for in-store.

2. Alongside this, topic two looks at the latest US findings of the MARI trial conducted in Chicago.

3. Looking at the future of MARI, we are working closely with the MARI Advisory Council to address the planning for study advancement.

4. Topic four looks at a number of projects including 'Moving Ahead at the Facing' (Market Intelligence report issued January 2008 - now available to download here) and 'P-O-P - a Measured Medium Study' in Ireland.

5. Finally, hot topic five continues to address planning needs for the RBF throughout 2008 and beyond.

For more information about how you can get involved in the RBF, please contact the POPAI office on +44 (0)1455 554 848 or email
