What does it mean to you to sponsor the POPAI Awards? Sponsoring the POPAI awards is an honour for us. It gives us the opportunity to show the industry how committed we are to our craft.
What do you think makes a great retail experience? A great retail experience is simply one that you want to share with others. One that you talk and post on social about. One that creates a warm feeling between you and the brand.
How do you innovate in your business? At Meiyume our innovation process follows the rapid prototyping framework. We take an idea and try to fail as fast and cheaply as possible. When we don’t fail, we know we have a winner. What also sets up apart is that we are technology agnostic which allows us to be agile in responding to our customer needs.
How important do you think it is for our industry to continually look to the future? It vital that our industry keeps looking forward as the pace of retail change will not allow us to sit back for one second. Consumers move on quickly from ideas, so we need to meet them where they are to continue to satisfy and delight them.
What role does in-store digital have in the retail experience? It can play a massive role in creating an offline to online connection with the brand. It should augment the brand’s online presence whilst giving the consumer an offline only experience. Digital in-store experiences should also give the brand data to connect with the data they are collecting online.
