The
Co-op Format Development team presented their Pure Convenience Strategy and how
this translates across the business and through to shopper missions.
The
presentation covered the diverse nature of the Co-op estate and explained the
average time a shopper is in their stores is just under 5 minutes.
The
team shared their 5 key design principles which work together to benefit customers
and members, key shopping missions and Co-op colleagues.
As
part of their ‘Multi Mission store’ project this thinking has been put into practice
with new layouts and merchandising techniques. Store entrances have been de-cluttered,
extra circulation space added for shoppers and new, clear signage.
The
presentation ended with a sneak preview of 3 future design propositions to
highlight membership and value in store.
