While the last decade has seen a prolonged period of physical retail decline, the pandemic has turned a precarious descent into a cliff edge. Social distancing, consumer fears and new behaviours have coalesced to make it clear that legacy physical retail estates already unfit for purpose now need to change, and change fast.
