Starting with networking at 9:00am, we will continue to explore the hottest topic of sustainability. These sessions are STRICTLY for our brand and retailer members only, with plenty of opportunity to explore other issues during the morning.

Request for proposals still talk the talk, but
follow-through is patch

- Sustainability remains front-and-centre in bids and tenders — sometimes 200+ questions deep — but once the contract is won, it often falls behind cost and speed of delivery. The challenge now is keeping those commitments alive through the life of a contract.

The market has split into two speeds

- Global brands are doubling down — especially in beauty, fashion, and grocery — while mid-market players and independents are easing off under cost pressure. The gap between leaders and laggards is widening fast.

Materials are still misunderstood

- There’s progress in permanent fixtures, reuse, and better material mapping, but too many “miracle” materials are sold on hype. Meanwhile, proven substrates with real recycling routes are dismissed as boring. The biggest blind spot? Most marketers still don’t know where their waste actually goes. Education is needed and quickly.

Legislation and Policy confusion continues

- EUDR delays, Northern Ireland’s inclusion, and shifting EU frameworks show how volatile compliance has become. Ironically, the markets with clear rules (like France) are finding it easier to act, not harder.
