HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene)

High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) is a low cost plastic material that is easy to machine and fabricate. HIPS is often specified for low strength structural applications when impact resistance low costs are paramount requirements. It's also frequently used to machining pre-production prototypes due its excellent dimensional stability. HIPS is also perfectly suited to being painted and glued.
